Forget-me-not. Floral background for wedding , celebration, women's day or mother's day

Recently I came across an interview with a very popular and renowned musician who was asked about whether he cared about what people said about him or thought about him and whether that determined how he bothered about how to phrase his statements or views. He said and I quote “ We have been taught to look back to our human history, learn from it,&nbsp;Understand it and form our views and opinions based on it and being afraid that history could repeat itself if not careful. Not necessarily being taught about the future, how to be bold to be the first pioneers to break through the barrier of the past and look to the future and what it has to bring (paraphrased)”.&nbsp;<h2>The Power of Reality</h2>Now I thought nothing about it until today when the Holy Spirit dropped a verse of scripture in my spirit while I was praying. From Isaiah 43:18. “ Remember not the former things…” He was telling me that I had spent so much time and effort on what has happened in the past, my ancestry, my fathers, what they did, how it affects me today, and how I was forming my opinions, perspectives, and decisions based on what had happened in the past. Worrying that history would repeat itself and then letting fear come in to guide that feeling into reality.&nbsp;The Holy Spirit reminded me to read Isaiah 43:18 and 19 from the Amplified. Now this is what it says verbatim, “Isaiah 43:18 (AMP) “Do not remember the former things, Or ponder the things of the past. Do not form your opinion of yourself based on what has happened to you in the past or what happened to your fathers. Behold I do a new thing in your life (Isaiah 43:19 (AMP))Remember not the former things; He said behold I do a new thing. It hit me like a ball of lightning. I have spent years thinking I was my father’s son and if I do not order my life in a certain way by pondering on what happened to my fathers, my life would go the same way it went for my fathers. History repeating itself. What is this new thing he talked about? Behold I do a new thing? Let's look closely at Isaiah 46:9 (AMP) Remember [carefully] the former things [which I did] from ages past; For I am God, and there is no one else; I am God, and there is no one like Me.God instructs us to remember only one thing about the former things- he said we should always remember that which he did in the past from ages past for he is God and there is no one else. Hallelujah. We must always look into the rearview of our lives and remember that which God has done for us in the past. That is the only way we can stay thankful no matter what is happening to us NOW, we must remember, that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He never changes. He is the father of light, in whom there is no variableness or shadow of turning. That is what James 1:17 (AMP) says about Him. It says every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of lights [the Creator and Sustainer of the heavens], in whom there is no variation [no rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [for He is perfect and never changes].<h2>Breaking Barriers</h2>Behold I do a new thing? In Isaiah 43:19 (AMP) Listen carefully, I am about to do a new thing, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even put a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.Wow, do you understand the depth of that statement? He will do a new thing, it will spring forth and you will not be aware of it? He said he would even put a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Praise God.&nbsp;Remember not the former things. When we look to Jesus the author and the finisher of our faith, we begin to see his marvelous work in our lives, and our viewpoint, and mindset about who we are in Christ Jesus will change. I can assure you. 2 Corinthians 5:17 (AMP) clearly defines this for us. It says “Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life].”<h3>Spiritual Awakening</h3>Spiritual awakening truly brings a new life. Our mindset must change. Our viewpoints and our thoughts must change. It is only then, that what we say from our mouths would align with these changed mindsets and only then transformation can take place. Do you remember the popular scripture in Proverbs 23:7 (AMP) For as he thinks in his heart, so is he [in behavior—one who manipulates]? Our thoughts produce our words which in turn influence our actions and if not curbed become a habit that we cannot control until our character determines our final destiny.We must think spiritual thoughts about ourselves through the word of God. We must always confess what God says about us. It changes our perception and how we see ourselves. Psalms 139:14 (AMP) says, I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well.Remember not the former things. Remember that you are a new creature. See 2 Corinthians 5:17 (AMP) clearly defines this for us. It says “Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life].” <h2>Pursue Righteousness</h2>We must not remember the former things, our polluted lineages, corrupted bloodlines, and the things our fathers did. Let us take them, wrap them up in a bundle, all our fears and failures and wrong expectations, let us bring them as weights and burdens and put them at the feet of the Master. Let us then take his burden for he says his weight is easy and his burden is light. It is true. Mark 11:20 (AMP) In the morning, as they were passing by, the disciples saw that the fig tree had withered away from the roots. Always remember that you are a branch plucked out of fire. He that cursed the fig tree and it withered from its very root has cursed any evil root in your life. Isaiah 11:1 (AMP) Then a Shoot (the Messiah) will spring from the stock of Jesse [David’s father], And a Branch from his roots will bear fruit. By his coming, death, and resurrection, Jesus Christ has engrafted you into his own root Hallelujah. Amen. Let's be encouraged, brethren. And He will make her wilderness like Eden, And her desert like the garden of the Lord; Joy and gladness will be found in her, Thanksgiving and the voice of a melody

Who is God to you? What do we truly know of him? God is a Spirit, right? So when we kneel to pray or talk to him while we drive or work or walk, how do we know he hears us and he listens? Is God real? Why is he allowing me to go through what I am going through? Why is He silent?Walking with God by Faith. These are many questions and more that we have asked at some point in our lives. Through religion, we have been conditioned from birth to believe that there is a greater being higher than us who is sitting up so high that he controls the universe and everything within it and we must recognize that indeed we must. God called Abraham his friend. Can I do anything without revealing it to my friend? God said. Do we think about the relationship Moses had with God? Until Moses’ face glowed with the presence and glory of God. Can we walk with him truly as Jesus upon the earth walked with him? Is this truly possible?The answer to all these questions and more is that Yes indeed we can have that kind of relationship with God our Father and even more. Through His Holy Spirit, we can walk with Him. But we must do this by faith. Why? What is Faith?Hebrews 11:6 (AMP)But without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him.Is it impossible to walk with God or please him without Faith? Do we truly believe that God exists? It requires a certain faith of a lack of proof of that which we can see, feel, or touch to validate that experience. It requires a higher level of revelation to truly believe in a God who is Spirit that we cannot phantom, and desire to even have a relationship with HIM. This is the beauty of what God put in Man. To seek HIM and love Him even though we don't see or feel him like the angels do. There is a reason God told Moses his name was I AM THAT I AM. Walking with God requires a certain state of being of believing and knowing that he is the I AM THAT I AM in any given situation. He is the JEHOVAH JIREH our provider, He is also JEHOVAH ELOHIM our God. He is JEHOVAH RAPHA, our healer. I could go on and on with his names. But one thing is certain, He is the I AM THAT I AM.&nbsp;It is impossible to walk with God, know him, and please him without FAITH. What is this faith? Hebrews 11:1 (AMP) Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].<figure id="figure-q6r9wm3gd9lqigsmkt"><img id="q6r9wm3gd9lqigsmkt" src="https://cdn.durable.co/shutterstock/15GlCWfL7TUG0dxbRQwJVjGXNbPt6k2oX9P0wzWz3Ksa60X5wpc0x17OvkhcQOII.jpeg" alt="Group of people in a row" class="object-cover bg-gray-100 " style="aspect-ratio: 16/9; object-position: center center;" data-corners="default" data-aspect="16:9" data-caption="" data-positionx="null" data-positiony="null" data-mce-src="https://cdn.durable.co/shutterstock/16PMdkxvBz2FMy6HqLKtDqHTHOZ3CsQzE7laLFtRWhhZh8ft7oLW2bDGaYMrGLo4.jpeg" data-mce-style="aspect-ratio: 16/9; object-position: center center;"></figure>Faith is the substance of THINGS HOPED FOR… the EVIDENCE of THINGS NOT SEEN… Think about that statement for a moment. That goes against everything we know about investigations, fact finding, scientific perspectives, perception and inferences of any type of study. It is indeed foolishness to the mere mind.&nbsp;But it is only through FAITH that we can get a glimpse of the heart of the Father. It is only through faith that we can draw close to him to know what he is doing in the earth today, it is only through faith that he rewards those who diligently seek him. We must seek him daily. We must believe that HE IS. HE EXISTS. Walking with God by Faith. We can only be justified before God by faith in that which his SON Jesus did for us on the cross on that fateful day. Faith is not the absence of fear but the ability to trust and lean on God in the midst of chaos. Listen to my episode of “Calm in the Midst of the Storm”.&nbsp;Hebrews 10:38 (AMP) But My righteous one [the one justified by faith] shall live by faith [respecting man’s relationship to God and trusting Him]; And if he draws back [shrinking in fear], My soul has no delight in himIf we are indeed justified by faith, does that mean we do not need to do any “works” at all for any sense of good or feeling of righteousness? Why tell us Faith without works is dead (James 2:17). We will come back to that.&nbsp;But in Galatians 2:16 (AMP) yet we know that a man is not justified [and placed in right standing with God] by works of the Law, but [only] through faith in [God’s beloved Son,] Christ Jesus. And even we [as Jews] have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the Law. By observing the Law no one will ever be justified [declared free of the guilt of sin and its penalty]Works of the law are what is not accepted by God. What is “works of the law”. It is called RELIGION. This is a very dicey topic because if we are not careful, religion could keep us away from truly having a sincere and pure relationship with God that bypasses Man’s influence over our lives. A topic for another day. Galatians 2:16 tells us that it is only through FAITH that we are justified not by the works of the law. No one can be declared free of the guilt of sin and its penalty just by observing the LAW. Food for thought. Galatians 3:11 (AMP) Now it is clear that no one is justified [that is, declared free of the guilt of sin and its penalty, and placed in right standing] before God by the Law, for “The righteous (the just, the upright) shall live by faith.”We see that also in Romans 5:1 (AMP) Therefore, since we have been justified [that is, acquitted of sin, declared blameless before God] by faith, [let us grasp the fact that] we have peace with God [and the joy of reconciliation with Him] through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed).Lets bring it closer home. &nbsp;James 2:14-24 (AMP) 14 What is the benefit, my fellow believers, if someone claims to have faith but has no [good] works [as evidence]? Can that [kind of] faith save him? [No, a mere claim of faith is not sufficient—genuine faith produces good works.] 15If a brother or sister is without [adequate] clothing and lacks [enough] food for each day, 16and one of you says to them, “Go in peace [with my blessing], [keep] warm and feed yourselves,” but he does not give them the necessities for the body, what good does that do? 17So too, faith, if it does not have works [to back it up], is by itself dead [inoperative and ineffective]. 18But someone may say, “You [claim to] have faith and I have [good] works; show me your [alleged] faith without the works [if you can], and I will show you my faith by my works [that is, by what I do].” 19You believe that A reference to the Shema, the Jewish confession of faith.God is one; you do well [to believe that]. The demons also believe [that], and shudder and bristle [in awe-filled terror—they have seen His wrath]! 20But are you willing to recognize, you foolish [spiritually shallow] person, that faith without [good] works is useless? 21Was our father Abraham not [shown to be] justified by works [of obedience which expressed his faith] when he offered Isaac his son on the altar [as a sacrifice to God]? 22You see that [his] faith was working together with his works, and as a result of the works, his faith was completed [reaching its maturity when he expressed his faith through obedience]. 23And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and this [faith] was credited to him [by God] as righteousness and as conformity to His will,” and he was called the friend of God. 24You see that a man (believer) is justified by works and not by faith alone [that is, by acts of obedience a born-again believer reveals his faith].&nbsp;Faith without works is dead- What does that mean? If I am trusting God for healing and I still eat crap and do not exercise, take good care of my body, that is faith without works. When you believe God for a job and you do not even apply for any jobs or make any applications. When you believe God for a blessing and you do not seek him to hear what he tells you and who to go to. For indeed, as a preacher once said “true riches comes from God to Man through Man”. Seeking God brings a&nbsp; reward. See Hebrews 11:6. We must draw close to Him and then he will draw nigh unto us.&nbsp;Above all, according to Ephesians 6:16 (AMP) 16Above all, lift up the [protective] shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.&nbsp;Faith is a shield that is a primary weapon in the arsenal of the armor of God which you can use to shield off all the fiery darts of the enemy (Doubts,unbelief, negative thoughts, incantations, accusations, enchantments, depression and oppression, aspersions). See Jude 1:20 (AMP) But you, beloved, build yourselves up on [the foundation of] your most holy faith [continually progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], pray in the Holy Spirit, Walking with God by faith is drawing from the wells of the secret place- as described in Psalms 91:1 (AMP) He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand].

(Genesis 1:3). In other words, God said LIGHT BE. God’s creative ability stemmed from his absolute greatness and sovereignty to speak a word into existence and whatever he said came to BE.&nbsp; He called those things which are not as though they were (Romans 4:17).Remember, everything God created from Genesis 1 until verse 26 was with the power of his spoken word. “And God said…” was the introductory command God gave for each creation element from Light until the living creatures in the seas and on land.&nbsp; It was not until Genesis 1:26 that God called the TRINITY to discuss the creation of Man. Genesis 1:26, the amplified version puts it this way;&nbsp;26 Then God said, “Let Us (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) make man in Our image, according to Our likeness [not physical, but a spiritual personality and moral likeness]; and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the cattle, and over the entire earth, and over everything that creeps and crawls on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 And God blessed them [granting them certain authority] and said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subjugate it [putting it under your power]; and rule over (dominate) the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and every living thing that moves upon the earth.”<h3>What is Man?</h3>God went further from SPEAKING creation elements into existence to making the one creation element “MAN” with the help of the Son and the Holy Spirit.&nbsp; Some bible scholars explained it this way. In Genesis 26 when God said “ Let us make man in our image and likeness…” he spoke the spirit of man into existence. You can see this in verse 27. However, man’s body and soul were created in Genesis 2 as you would observe in Genesis 2:7;7 then the Lord God [d]formed [that is, created the body of] man from the [e]dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living being [an individual complete in body and spirit]<figure id="figure-zk026tfwxmlqibqerf"><img id="zk026tfwxmlqibqerf" src="https://cdn.durable.co/shutterstock/fdFBiLvLdpMqCpPTaCFIiX5QJqXcN6dKQaDkJmRzHxPBe6Qn9ty2wORmJbP3XxIg.jpeg" alt="Silhouette of young man on sunset or sunrise. The man was given the ability to create things, to innovate things, and to bring life to everything God had created. Remember in Genesis 2:18-21, God formed every animal from the dust and brought it to man to see what he would CALL them.&nbsp;18 Now the Lord God said, “It is not good (beneficial) for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper [one who balances him—a counterpart who is] [i]suitable and complementary for him.” 19 So the Lord God formed out of the ground every animal of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them; and whatever the man called a living creature, that was its name. 20 And the man gave names to all the livestock, and to the birds of the air, and to every animal of the field, but for Adam, there was not found a helper [that was] suitable (a companion) for himWhatever name Man called the animals, that was the name that gave life to the existence of that specific animal. Yes, we could say man and beast were created on the same day and in fact, according to the creation chronological order, the beasts were created first before man, however, God gave a special authority to man over beasts. A higher intellect, dominion, and authority to subdue other animals. We won't go into this at this time. Of course, man did not see any helpmeet from the animals and God formed a woman out of his ribs (verse 21).&nbsp;The spoken words from the mouth of man are very powerful because God made them so. Our lesson from this synopsis is to understand the very power of our spoken words to our families, our church, and the world at large. The enemy seeks to silence us. He seeks to cause us to doubt our authority and speak evil into existence or shut us up permanently.&nbsp;<h3>The Fall of Man</h3>Even though man fell in Genesis 3, there was a ripple effect to handing over that authority to the serpent, God had a redemptive plan in place. We will address this in another write-up. Jesus came in the likeness of man and overcame sin in the flesh as seen in Romans 8:3 AMP"For what the Law could not do [that is, overcome sin and remove its penalty, its power] being weakened by the flesh [man’s nature without the Holy Spirit], God did: He sent His own Son in the likeness of sinful man as an offering for sin. He went down to hell and made an open shame of the devils and demons, taking the keys of Death and Hades from Satan (Revelations 1:18).&nbsp;… and the Ever-living One [living in and beyond all time and space]. I died, but see, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of [absolute control and victory over] death and of Hades (the realm of the dead).In Colossians 2:15, we see a more detailed description of what transpired between LIGHT and DARKNESS for the authority and dominion stolen from Man at the beginning of time.&nbsp;When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities [those supernatural forces of evil operating against us], He made a public example of them [exhibiting them as captives in His triumphal procession], having triumphed over them through the cross.<h3>Conclusion</h3>In conclusion, God spoke creation into being. For man’s creation, God created man. He spoke man into existence but went further to create man with his hands. Formed him out of the ground. The sole reason was because God created man as a representative of himself on the earth- created in his LIKENESS and IMAGE. Man was endowed with the ability to also speak things into existence.&nbsp;Man was given a powerful choice to either speak life or death into existence. The power of the tongue as seen in Proverbs 18:21Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words.The dominion and effect of light over darkness is instant. We must continue to speak the word of God in our lives, in our families, in the church, and indeed the World.
